CIF and VGA are 2 different types of what's known as resolution. This determines how big your video is going to be. Quite comparable to megapixels for still photos actually. A video of a higher resolution will look much better than a low resolution video. CIF is 352x288 - i.e. 352 pixels wide by 288 pixels high. VGA is 640x480 Therefore VGA is much higher resolution than CIF. ----- FPS (e.g. 30fps) is short for Frames Per Second. This defines how smooth the motion in your video will look. A video at 15fps will look much jerkier and will be choppier than a video at 30fps. Hope this helps!
