Tutorial is written for Paint Shop Pro 7. The methods used are compatible with Paint Shop Pro 8, 9 and 10.

1 Start a new 150x150 pixels, 16 million colors, any background color, image.

Apply a Radial Gradient Fill on your image.
Note: Click your mouse once on the Foreground Gradient to bring up the Gradient Dialogue box.  Then follow the same settings as shown below.

2  Apply the Twirl Filter (Effects>Geometric Effects>Twirl)  Degrees = 453.
Apply the Ripple Filter (Effects>Geometric Effects>Ripple) afterwards using the settings below.

Ripple Filter Settings:
Amplitude = 9
Wavelength = 43
Horizontal Center = 49
Vertical Center = 50

 

 
3 Apply the Warp Filter (Effects>Geometric Effects>Warp).
Warp Settings:
Horizontal Offset = 0
Vertical Offset = 0
Size = 50
Strength = 100
