Rusty Gear
4 Apply Fine-Leather filter (Effects>Texture Effects>Fine Leather) and follow the same settings below.

 

 
5 While Gear selection is active, apply the  Inner Bevel filter (Effects>3D Effects>Inner Bevel) and use the same settings as shown below.



6 Add a new layer (Layers>New Raster Layer)  Again, fill the "Gear Selection" with "Rust-texture.gif" pattern .  Change layer's blend mode properties to Dodge (Layers>Properties)
