The Photo Within

4 Activate Selection tool (S)  and press Ctrl+D to deselect current selection. Press Ctrl+A. Click your mouse anywhere on the image. This will make a selection as shown. Save this selection to Alpha channel for later use ( Selections > Save to Alpha Channel ). Name the saved selection as "Photo Border".

| 5 Contract current selection by 6 pixels ( Selections > Modify > Contract ). Then, hit the Delete key revealing the main object.
(Please note that the number of pixels depends on the actual size of your image.)

| 6 Load your saved selection ( Selections > Load From Alpha Channel ). Choose "Photo Border" selection, then invert by pressing Ctrl+Shift+I.
