Glossy Buttons 2
4 While holding down the CTRL key, create a selection as shown in the first figure below.

Selection Settings:
Type = Rectangle
Antialias = Not Checked

 

 
5 Set foreground color to light red (HTML #ffc0c0) and then apply a solid fill on your current selection.  Press CTRL+D to deselect current selection.   Load saved selection from the Alpha Channel (Selections>Load/Save Selection>Load Selection from Alpha Channel).  Then, apply a drop shadow filter (Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow).

You should have a similar image as shown below.

 

 
6 To Add a text, simply offset a black color copy of the text behind your white text as shown below.  Use colorize filter (SHIFT+L) to modify the color.
