Image-Filled Text
3 Hit Delete key to remove your text.  Then, load the saved text selection from Alpha Channel (Selections>Load/Save Selection>Load Selection from Alpha Channel).  Place a copy of the text selection to the clipboard by pressing CTRL+C.

 

 
4  Start a new image (I used white background). Press CTRL+E to paste the copied text.  While text selection is active, you can optionally adjust the Brightness/Contrast,  apply drop shadow or any effect of your choice.

Brightness/Contrast for the example below is -33/65.
