Tutorial is written for Paint Shop Pro 9. The methods used are compatible with Paint Shop Pro 7, 8 and X

1 Open an existing picture.

2 Draw a line around your main subject (please refer to this tutorial if you need help in doing this).

3 Set your Background and Fill color to Black. This will apply a black fill on your main subject.
