| This tutorial is to show you how you can lessen the jaggies when creating 3D rounded objects by using the Inner Bevel Filter. 1 Make a 300 x 200, 16 million colors and Black background image. Set foreground color to light gray (RGB = 192) and background color to black. |

2 Make an ellipse selection ![]() |

| 3 Move your mouse pointer somewhere near the "X" spot and while holding down the [CTRL]
key, draw a smaller ellipse inside your current selection. Using the [CTRL] key allows you to subtract from an active selection.

| 4 Repeat step 3 by making another elliptical selection at the red spots. You can
save the current selection to alpha channel (Selection>Save to Alpha Channel) for later use.

| 5 Apply a solid color fill
|

6 Apply the Inner Bevel filter (Image>Effects>Inner Bevel) using the settings shown below.

| 7 Contract selection by 1 (Selections>Modify>Contract). Invert selection (Selections>Invert) and
press [Delete] key.
Invert selection again (Selections>Invert). Press [CTRL+C] to place a copy of the current selection to a clipboard, then press [CTRL+E] to place clipboard content into a textured image.
