
Rust Attack

| More rust? per Nancy and Seth's request :) this is if for you folks.
1 Make a 500 x 50, 16 million color image. I used a black background on this example. Set Foreground color to White.
(Example of Foreground color set to White and Background color set to Black)

2 Pick the Flood Fill Tool and apply a Linear gradient fill.
Linear Gradient Settings:
Fill Style = Linear Gradient
Blend Mode = Normal
Paper Texture and Match Mode = None
Follow the same settings under the Flood Fill Options 
Gradient = Foreground-Background
Angle = 180
Repeats = 1
Apply Colorize Filter (Colors>Colorize) Hue = 30 Saturation = 80

| 3 Add a new layer (Layers>New Raster Layer)
Pick the Picture Tube Tool and choose "Clouds" tube. Set the scale to 30%. Apply the tube as shown in the image below. You can download clouds tube from Jasc's website.

| 4 Apply the Mosaic Glass Filter (Image>Effects>Mosaic Glass) and follow the same settings as shown below.

| 5 Then, click on Image>Edge>Enhance More
Click on Layers>Properties (Set Blend Mode=Darken)
Click on Layers>Merge>Merge All
Apply a Hot Wax Coating (Image>Other>Hot Wax Coating).

| 6 Let's add more rust! Add a new layer (Layers>New Raster Layer). Using the same settings in Step #2, paint the Clouds tube on the upper and lower part of the image. Then, apply the Mosaic Glass Filter using the same settings in Step #3.

| 7 Click on Colors>Colorize (Hue = 30 Saturation = 255)
Click on Layers>Properties, set Blend Mode = Burn
